Summer will officially arrive on Monday and with it comes a heat warning from Environment Canada.
The national weather service issued the warning on Saturday and it will extend into Monday as temperatures are expected to reach 33 C.
“The most significant heat episode of the year is expected for much of Southern Ontario,” Environment Canada said in a statement.
The national weather agency also released a special air quality statement on Sunday, warning residents of potential high levels of air pollution. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations in Windsor-Essex, with moderate risk of AQHI values and short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.
Symptoms such as increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches and shortness of breath are possible, especially in children, seniors and those with cardiovascular or lung disease.
An approaching cold front will bring scattered showers by Monday evening, followed by cooler conditions into the night.

My Thoughts

I had to work outside in this hot weather on the weekend. I got the worst sunburn ever and I felt really dizzy the whole time being outside in the sun. I remember being outside playing as a kid and it didn't affect me like that. the experience was so bad that I felt sick and exhausted all weekend because of it and didn't leave the house because I didn't even want to feel the heat at all. I am glad its supposed to cool down.
